I saw this question, and I immediately thought of SpongeBob. I use to watch this with my son and then later my daughter. SpongeBob always made me laugh. Lately, I feel a cloud over me. I think it's from the seasons changing, and my daughter being sick on and off of the past month. So I'd like to ask the spirit of SpongeBob to make me laugh once again!
What about you? If you could hang out with any cartoon character, who would you choose and why?

He thinks he’s smart, but he does everything the hard way.
Why doesn’t he move into a town and find a job there and buy food at the supermarket?
No, instead he lives out in the middle of nowhere. He repeatedly injures himself and wastes money on those dangerous ACME products. The ACME products don’t do what they’re supposed to do. And even if he caught the roadrunner, it looks pretty scrawny; not much of a meal.
I have long been a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the character of Uncle Iroh is such a classic trope for a “wise old man” but I would very much love to spend time drinking tea with this character: youtube.com/watch?v=VZ2ue2z...
Tweety cuz he's ALWAYS outsmarting Sylvester at every turn...kinda like trying to wrangle the tag team duo of Anxiety & Depression. Like the Wonder Twins! Form of crippling mental health! giphy.com/gifs/selena-s-SkL...
And South Park because the series literally launched in the small window of time that me and my hubby were JUST beginning our relationship. I remember we watched the original Cartman alien 👽 hoop-a-ju episode in his parents basement! And the outrageous political satire and pointing out our society's blindness to stupidity is right up my alley 🤣 TBH
Jane Jetson. She lives in the future and I can borrow her clothes and makeup because you stand under a thing and it dresses you from head to toe and never repeats an outfit. Flying cars…too cool. If we want pizza, just push a button. Plus she’s just a fun gal. I’d get around one day to discuss her hair, though.
Though they're not from a cartoon, I'd like to commiserate with the denizens of the Island of Misfit Toys from the stop-motion animation Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer movies.
Of course, not being a toy, I wouldn't quite fit in with them either, but that's true to my lived experience: either alone or not fitting in with the misfits. 😿
I think that's why I'd rather hang out with the toys: they just wanted to be loved despite being different, not because they were special.
ScoobyDoo of course. Who better to travel the world with solving important mysteries? There would never be a dull moment as long as the Scooby snacks hold out.
