Finding meaning in our lives
A few months back just before I moved I was due to be going swimming and had seen an old colleague who had asked me what was I doing now and I had said honestly that I was off to enjoy a nice swim!
No what she meant was had I got another job and I was honest and said no not yet rather than make one up and you would think that the sky had come crashing down in how she reacted like not having a job is the end of the world!
It's aggravating but in no way is it the end of the world not having a job as in my view there's plenty of worse things in life than not having a job such as being on an oxygen tank when you are only 50 something like someone I know is!
Downstairs in our flats there's a lad who's only 30 and is chronically ill which I think is a lot worse than the inconvenience of not having a job which is only temporary really.
Good news as I had some interviews yesterday when I went away from them feeling I had done my best and as long as I know I have done my best then that's all that matters really.
Next week I have got some more interviews so we will see how things pan out.
