I have all the symptoms of a flight or fight response when I have anxiety I can generally stay calm enough to manage all of them and keep them them under control through breathing and a small dose of Buspar which is an anti anxiety med prior to an event that involves people, or long shift at work but the one symptom that I just can't control the floaty or dizzy feeling that is listed as a symptom of anxiety of course. I have it every time I'm in the state of mind and as soon as the interaction with the people or the long shift is over its completely gone and I don't experience outside of crowds or meetings or work . I absolutely hate it it, it freaks me out and I know that what I have to do is stay calm in order for it not to come but inevitably it just turns on by itself no thoughts needed lol! Anybody have any luck or success with medication or tips or can at least share that they experience the same thing? Thank you

Feel like I will never shake this symptom.
Hi Peacely, you can and you will eventually shake this symptom. I hated every moment
I experienced it myself. Finding what causes it helped me to change how I accepted it.
When we are in a state of "fight or flight" our posture (stance) becomes irregular.
Our shoulders jut up to our ears as our neck goes forward in order to keep our balance.
Once we get into that position, it doesn't take long for us to feel uncomfortable and
spacey. The reason being that the lymphatic fluid isn't allowed to flow freely as it should
to the head. Sometimes, dehydration can cause this spacey feeling as well.
Once we get this feeling, it isn't hard to go into anxiety/panic which then brings in another
factor and that is irregular breathing. Out of fear, we either unconsciously hold our
breath or breathe a little faster causing hyperventilation.
Practicing breathing must come from a daily practice at home when you are not under
stress. Once the brain is trained in doing this, it will kick in automatically before anxiety
escalates and stop the head feeling , Once you get that feeling it is much
harder to control but still can be done with practice. I hope this helps some.
It really does work, I can attest to that. xx
