Thank you for reaching out. You're on the way to healing. No need to regret or worry. Whatever happened int he past ALREADY happened. You have every chance to make things better now. If your thoughts come back to haunt you, you can learn how to manage them via various websites that offer resources on controlling negative thoughts.
As for worry, that's inevitable. We think about the future therefore we worry. If we didnt' worry that means we already have a plan of action for everything. if you worry that means you feel you're not prepared to deal with what's ahead. Go find out what your fears are and learn how to deal with them. I assure you once you learn, you will feel like a big rock lifted off your shoulders.

I can definitely relate and have been working on controlling worry/regret and staying in the moment. Consider, in no particular order: meditation, yoga, walking, exercise, reciting affirmations (which you come up with yourself), paying attention to your thoughts in a non-critical way to catch your "bad" thinking habits; awareness is the start of change. It's hard. Everyone deals with it to some degree. Don't give up. Good luck.
