zyprexa and weight gain

Hi all,

So I have been on zyprexa for close to 2 weeks now and this last week I think my desire for sugar and bad foods have increased and I gained already 5 pounds.

For those of you on zyprexa/ olanzipine, how do you combat the increase in appetite?

I was on 5mgs but now it’s 10-15mgs since I’m not sleeping. It seems to have worked in lessening my panic attacks and mental clarity but I desire food and sweets so much more now.

have any of you tried a appetite suppressant pill recommended by doc to combat side effects of this pill? Thank you

I took it before and gained 60 pounds in 3 months. I wouldn't take it again. I still can't get the weight off and it's been years.

oh no! What was the mg amount you were taking? It does make me feel better? What helps you now?
