had a few out in my time never had any issues or much pain thing I do is just focus in on something in the room let my imagination take over before you know it it`s done.
thanks for this I think it’s the anaesthetic that am more concerned about as it makes me feel exhausted. I have non adrenaline and it still seems too make me feel strange .
Trust me, getting it fixed will be worth it! I have had several extractions, root canals, and crowns. My meds overall give me dry mouth and oral care has been difficult. Poor immunity hasn't been kind to my oral health either. I will be getting a front tooth extracted in June which will be a little scarier.....but I have lived with pain there for three years. We tried surgery and now the tooth needs to go! I know it is stressful and while you'll have some type of numbing or sedation, you'll get the relief once it is out. I have started a whole new oral routine guided by one of my dentists to ensure we try to salvage as many teeth as we can over the next several years. Years ago I had root canals in my four front teeth. This was before knocking people out for dentistry was en vogue. I was awake for 10 hours with my mouth open...had some breaks of course and a very understanding team. They actually wrote me a script for Ativan to take when I was there. I think it probably dulled me enough to get through the whole time. I am glad you like your dentist because that is key to trust and feeling good about the procedure. Hang in there and I hope you experience pain free procedure and you heal quickly!
hi . My teethe aren’t great at all . I can’t afford too have them straightened etc I don’t smile and don’t talk too people really because of it .
I just hope I feel okay as the anaesthetic makes me feel exhausted and strange ! I have non adrenaline one ! Frightening how I feel but it may be because I get myself in such a mess I make my cortisol levels drop and that causes issues.
I close my eyes so I cant see what's going on. I also concentrate on my breathing or tap my finger when I'm stressed. Maybe medication to take the edge off.
I had an extraction of the bottom left back molar. I was pretty worried too both before and for a few days after. What I can tell you is that there wea no pain during the extraction and minimal discomfort for a few hours the first evening. After that there was no more pain or discomfort. The annoying thing is you have to not chew on that side for a while. I would say that was the worst part. Also, removing a top wisdom tooth is much easier as the roots are shallower than the bottom teeth roots.
I did not have to take any painkillers at all. I also don't like them and I don't think too many of them are good for you unless there is a significant problem.
I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once back in '87. Had it done in the oral surgeon's office under general anesthesia. Thought I would be hurting more afterwards but it wasn't bad at all.
I had my top molar removed. It was a breeze. Surprised how fast the procedure was and it was absolutely painless. Way easier than having a cavity removed. You’ll do great!
so good too hear ! It’s the anaesthetic seems too make me feel so strange like wired and exhausted. Maybe it’s because I make myself so anxious my heart rate goes so fast before they even numb me ! I have the non adrenaline also .
I'd rather deal with the anaesthetic than face pain! The dentist usually has to give me extra anaesthetic just to keep me from getting nervous. My ex once teased that I needed novocaine just to talk to the receptionist.I was knocked out when I had my wisdom teeth extracted in college, so I had no idea what was going on. The only tooth I've had extracted since then was a couple of years ago, and what astonished me was how fast it went. I think he had it out inside of 5 minutes!
I was disappointed that the laughing gas didn't make me laugh, though. Well, maybe a giggle or two.
