Using L-Tyrosine with Fluoxetine (Prozac)?

hello new member here. I’ve recently been prescribed Fluoxetine 20mg and was just wondering if it’s fine to take with 500mg L-Tyrosine thanks? After doing a bit of research it seems Fluoxetine increases serotonin levels in the brain but does absolutely nothing for Dopamine levels which is why I would like to take L-Tyrosine alongside it.

Thank you for the very detailed response. Any possible side effects I should be wary of with the Prozac? I’m suffering from anhedonia which is linked with low dopamine levels. Of course it could be caused by something else. I’m just a little wary as I’m new to anti depressants and don’t know much about them.

thank you. I already suffer from sexual issues and I doubt my libido could get any worse. I also have an under active thyroid so hopefully weight gain won’t be an issue for me. I’ve not mentioned anything about L-Tyrosine to my doctor but I will definitely bring this up at my next appointment. Just one final question do you think the Prozac alone could help my anhedonia?
