I have been placed on Sertraline this time on 100mg as before was on 150mg last year. Back on again due to a family members cancer diagnosis. Anyway I take them in the morning and I have been on them for a week and 3 days so far and am dealing with crippling insomnia, like tossing turning waking up several times or just can't sleep at all. I'm at my wits end. I'm back at work tommorow so need a good nap. I'm wondering any one has tips?
How long will it last?
Do you take it at specific times?
What can I do to help the insomnia?
Please help
Thanks ❤️

I'm also on 100mg sertraline for 4 weeks now. I take it at the same time every morning. It's helping a little bit, but I'm nowhere near where I want to be yet. If you're not taking it in the evening, you might try that. It could help with the insomnia.
I was just wondering if the nighttime taking it would make me feel worse like a feeling of being kept awake as they normally are what's causing the insomnia. Was just wondering if anyone took it on nighttime and had a proven difference to insomnia or not xx
Hi Danielle, did you try to take the tablet at night time? GP has suggested I try to take it at night time. Just wondering how you went on if you switched.
Side effects can be brutal the first couple of weeks . It should get better. Can your doctor prescribe you something in the interim to help you sleep ? I found Sertraline increased my anxiety initially and I needed Ativan to manage it and sleep .
Yeah so I have zopiclone 7.5mg but only prescribed a weeks supply so it's run out now. He didn't seem to want to give me another batch either as he said its addictive. How long did the insomnia last with you was it quite long xx
