I started by taking 25mg for a week ( could hardly leave the house due to increasing anxiety affects). Now been taking 50mg for 2 weeks and just feel so tense, on edge and flat. Should I feel at least a bit better by now? How long would u say to keep at it before maybe asking for something different? Thank you in advance

I take that also, i would give it at least a few more weeks to build up in your system. Youre still taking a minimal dose which is all i take too. Its always possible to go up eventually to 200 mg i think. Even if its working the effects at that dose are pretty mild so you will still feel anxiety
I took 25mg sertraline for 5 days, then it was upped to 50mg for about 10days. This was with a nurse practitioner. Then I found a psychiatrist accepting new patients and my insurance. I've seen her twice. She upped the dose to 75mg for 10 days, now I'm on 100mg, which she felt was my therapeutic dose. Ever since this journey began I've had anxiety, sometimes panic attacks. Unfortunately that's what happens with SSRIs. It takes weeks or even months. It may take longer before you feel better. Years ago when I was on paroxetine it took over 8 weeks before I felt better. Ask your doctor, but these meds take time. Can you ask your doctor for a safety net med to get you through the worst times? Do you have coping strategies you can use? My heart goes out to you.
