Sertraline 150mg 4 weeks and 1 day
I've been on 100mg sertraline for about 4 weeks. I'm feeling no improvement, but trying to stick with it. Years ago I was on paroxetine. That took over 8 weeks before I started feeling better. Right now I too worry that sertraline won't work, but I'm giving it time. My side effects have improved some at least. It's not just you; there are others with the same experiences and fears. Try to keep going. Once paroxetine kicked in, I was fine for 17 years. Then it didn't work for me anymore. Now I'm waiting and hoping for sertraline to kick in. Good luck to you.
Hiya!
Well done for taking the leap to get help and I'm glad you're on the right path to feel better!
After being on and off Sertraline most of my adult life I can assure you that it will work. The tablets have a build up affect in your system so they will take some time to work but please don't give up on them! I've started taking Sertraline again for Generalised Anxiety Disorder a few months ago and although they're well into my system now, I feel better by the day!
If you don't feel better in a month or so go back to the doctors because it can take some time to get the right dose but you will need to be weaned onto them slowly.
Sending positive vibes to you!
Well I was on 100 for about two months last year which flattened my moods. Recently went from being on 50 to doing 75 50 75 50 for three weeks with horrible side effects
Want to ne off the stuff. It doesn't help me

I'm on 100mg sertraline for 4 weeks, but started at 25mg 6 weeks ago, slowly increased the dose. Still some side effects, but more manageable. The doctor added another type of medication at a low dose, gabapentin. Your doctor is right, give it more time. People are different and respond at different rates. Don't give up too soon. It could work well for many years. Good luck.
