Sertraline 25mg Day 2

Day two of generic Zoloft. Feeling sleepy but that's nothing new. I'm always sleepy. I believe my body is always in sleep mode because it's peaceful when I don't how to think and make decisions and worry about my problems. Just wondering if anyone else was taking the medication I am taking and if it you feel good taking it.

Hi gdhillsy25,

Every body has a different reaction to meds in the system. In general, it takes 3-4 weeks to feel any improvement in your symptoms and up to 6-8 weeks for full effect. If you have been taking any other antidepressant medication, the take up might be a bit quicker.

Sertraline/Zoloft is one of the go to drugs for doctors to treat depression and anxiety in the first instance.

Fingers crossed for you that you have found the right drug the first time round.

Hi gdhillsy25,

I have been taking Sertraline for a few months now. It took a few tries playing with the dosage, but I'm at a place where it seems to be helping now. I feel more stable than I normally do with my anxiety. My depression is still here and there but overall I feel that the Sertraline is helping. I found that it made me really tired at first but now it doesn't at all. I also got a really dry mouth but that went away after a couple weeks too.

I started sertraline 25 4 days ago I was on lexapro and buspirone fit 9 weeks and didnt really help. I am hoping this helps. On second day I felt to drowsy I lay down for about 2 hours. Maybe it’s a small does but I pray it helps and gets me out of these monsters . Anxiety/ depression mine is more of an anxiety I also take Xanax at night to relax and go to sleep. Been ok so far. 🙏🙏🏼Xo
