New to sertraline 50mg

I am on day 4 of taking sertraline 50mg and feel terrible. I have been suffering with headaches and feeling sick, had lots of blood tests and nothing showed up so have been put on this drug. I thought I felt bad before but now feel worse. Suffering with sickness the first day then had 2 days where I felt a bit better but now today have the shakes and my head feels strange again. How long do the side effects last for as not sure this is suiting me. Should I continue but for how long. Other people’s experiences may help me. Love to hear from anyone suffered similar.

I had exactly the same side effects and I was so close to changing it again but it's taken about 2 nearly 3 weeks for the side effects to die down x if after 4 to 6 weeks your still not happy then definitely go back to your GP. X

I was on sertraline and all it did was make me even more sad and getting symptoms like yours but eventually I got switched to zoloft and honestly it changed so much and got alot better.

I have a been working with my doctor to adjust my Sertraline dose and have had the same problems more recently. Granted I went from 50 to 100 and then dropped to 50 again and added 150 mg of bupropion. Since the last change I have had shakes in my hands and legs too and my head feels a bit weird. I'm not sure how long it should last, but I'm glad to know there is someone else going through something similar. Always reach out to your doctor before making any decisions to change how you take your medicine. Hopefully you can keep coming back here for support. We're all in this together.

You do wonder if I am imagining's it or should be dealing with it better than I am. At the moment I am just not functioning. I have try to see a doctor next week as they only gave me 2 weeks supply so I will see what they say. Thanks for your advice.
