We live in a broken world where many do suffer, but thanks be to God.. He never leaves. Jesus suffered here on the Earth and told us we would go through trials ourselves. I choose to lean on Jesus Christ and abide under the shadow of the almighty Psalm 91. I’m glad to be apart of this community, because I don’t know many people who go through the things I do.
The artist also lost his wife to cancer. She didn’t lose her faith despite the diagnosis. She is now in the presence of the Lord Jesus, healed and pain free. He has a movie about it too. It’s called “ I still believe”. He also talks about how he dealt with panic attacks and anxiety as well. Have a great day Norw
Thanks so much for posting this, Esme. I am a Christian, too, and have been trying to rely on my faith during this period of strong anxiety, and it’s been a real challenge because I beg God daily (I go to church 5-6 times a week) to take away my pain and suffering yet haven’t felt relief yet. It can be so challenging being patient and waiting on God’s timing.
But that reminder helped me put things in perspective this morning!
I really appreciate this reminder too. I feel angry with God at times and find debating or bargaining with him through prayer. Kelkel00....yes the patience can be hard. Thank you all here for this posting and reminder that we can only control so much. At the end of the day, we don't have much in our control. Day by day...try to find patience, prayer and peace.
A response to everyone: it is not easy and I have dealt with this since childhood. I have many moments just like you ( anger, questioning, etc) . The passing of my mother, father and brother along with divorce have made things harder. It’s my choice to choose the Lord despite my huge pain. I find that I get peace at times and other times I feel as though He is distant (but He is not). I just try to encourage others who deal with the same as I do. To let them know that pain is a part of the broken world we are in. But we’re promised eternity,
