Hi…I am new to this community. Has anyone ever experienced every other day depression? I suffered a trauma about 5 years ago, I have made great strides in processing the trauma after which I was then diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune disease. I then became extremely depressed and began medication.
I am finding now that I have days where I am very functional, clear headed, interested in activities, etc.,where other days I can barely get out of bed and have no interest in anything. I will be seeing a new psychiatrist soon and am hoping he can shed some light on this.
If anyone has ever experienced anything like this, I would love to hear from you.
Thank you

Hi and welcome to this community!
Hi my darling I have depression and anxiety every day. However depending on your autoimmune disease there’s a chance that could be controlling your depression. There’s been scientific studies done showing a correlation between inflammation and depression. If your autoimmune disease is triggering off inflammation there’s a chance that might be a cause. The mind is such a complex thing. I really hope you find the answers you’re looking for. Sending you prayers hugs and love 🙏🏻🍀❤️😘xx

Thank you. I am convinced my autoimmune disease has a lot to do with it. I plan on telling my new doctor this as the other just wouldn’t listen. Thanks again ,
