Success isn’t linear

Hey everyone. Send me some advice or words in how you deal with this crap. I know success and progress isn’t linear when you have anxiety disorder. But when you just have a rough few days in a row where the damn anxiousness is just heightened, what do you do to not engage with it or really get occupied in being afraid and tense. Ughhhhh. Been having a week and believe me I do the acceptance and ride with the waves but I get frustrated too and sad when it incessantly bugs me. F off anxiety.

I hear you, been having the same problem lately. Struggling more lately than i have in awhile, its such a pain. The only thing i can do is trust myself that i recognize my patterns and that i know whats going on and im dealing with these feelings so much better than in the past. Dont feed the anxiety try and keep your mind neutral. Hope this helps!

😩🙏🏻Thank you for this. Especially that you give yourself credit for improving in how you deal with it. I try to give myself credit that way too. So glad to hear someone else does too. Maybe that’s a help in and of itself.

I wish I had an answer. I deal with chronic pain, and during the night I do not have it, vestibular migraines. But first thing in the morning, the anxiety is there. Distraction does not work, meditation to one of the apps and breathing exercises do.

Pain is not the business. Hope it eases for you. It’s crazy how it’s there in the morning and can just hover around persistent. I also relate to the evening being less anxious. Thx for responding.

I can completely relate.

I don’t have any magic cures but can say that sometimes singing a familiar song in my head helps—silly, I know!

Also, I tried “tapping” yesterday and it seemed to help some.

I do agree it’s comforting to read others having this same struggle!
