I have an exam in two days and I can't even act like I'm concerned. I'm extremely worried but can't study. I've been diagnosed with OCPD and have been receiving treatment for about 18 months. My psychiatrist has switched my treatment plan a couple of times but nothing seems to be working. I need something to help me through the next few days so I can pass my exams. I tried everything available. focus music, studying in a different place, waking up early, and getting a study partner, but my brain seems to refuse any kind of information

He just told me I need more patience.I'm trying to study the most interesting topics for me now and it seems to be working. I guess someone here has a forcefully selective brain!
I used to find that revising just got me into a panic. So I stopped revising. I actually got better marks, because I wasn't getting wound up and unable to sleep with the worry.
When it comes to exams, if you know it, revising can just make you panic, and if you panic, nothing goes into your head. As long as you have done the work, you should be fine. Relax the night before.
It's just there are a few things I'm studying for the first time. This puts me into more panic. A certain result of procrastinating which is a result of depression. Trying to pull myself out of this vicious cycle. Wish me luck!
Im same. In the same situation. I just pull it all out the last minute. I have to write two papers for an exam in monday, knowing myself i will do it tomorrow night. Discussed this with my therapist yesterday, she told me to just do it and stop coming up with my diagnosis. Also something that helps me is thinking i have to have good marks to get scholarship. I have to have "the knife to the bone" to study. And i procrastinate a lot and have low self esteem and think i can't write and remember. Identify whether you have these issues. And when you study focus only on the study. Dive in
Things are starting to get better today. And I hope they do for you too. It's kinda complicated when it comes to the studying thing and many details of my life aren't mentioned. I have also low self-esteem, I ultimately hate my major and I'm just stuck in it, can't shift it can't drop out can't take a gap year. So I've been pushing myself for more than two years to accept it or love it but I keep struggling..
I feel you. I can't shift, drop out or take a gab neither. Im so worried this thing isn't for me and my low self esteem tells me i suck at it. But hey we made it this far, we can hold on a bit longer. And don't listen to the inner critic, im sure you're good at what you study
I'm sure you're great too! I hope we find comfort and peace in what we are and what we do pretty soon

We’ll also cover illusions of learning, memory techniques, dealing with procrastination, and best practices shown by research to be most effective in helping you master tough subjects. "
I am sending you well wishes and hope this helps. It may be more timely for your next exam, but you can skip around and potentially find a helpful technique in the mean time.
