I have the flu! I am extremely tired and I realized that I always start the new year with a flu, since 2018! Everyone hates the flu, that's sure, but when you have anxiety from diseases, it's like physical and mental triggers all over the place and you can't sleep or eat or work.
Happy New Year, everyone!
I need A LOT of sleep, so hopefully my sick leave will give me that.

Happy New Year! I'm sorry about the rough start- boooo YOU SUCK FLU!
I understand what you mean about different kinds of triggers, though usually when I would get sick in the past it seemed to take precedence and help my forget my anxiety a bit because I was just too sick to be nervous- mostly.
The only good thing about being sick is that you get to sleep all day and your friends, work, and family excuse your behavior and you don't feel guilty for being lazy xD
Hi Alat try and get more sleep than you usually get as this will help you recover from your flu quicker ! You sound like me as I've got what they call health anxiety I find the slightest health problem gets blow up yo thr point I panic thinking all sorts are wrong with me but my wife's really good at helping me get throught it ! Happy Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family take care !
You're right, an anxiety of mine is that I will get a heart attack because of my other anxieties, which causes more anxiety, leading me into a closed loop of anxieties. If that makes sense.
I feel for you. I am still getting over Covid, and I am very tired. If this is any encouragement, I think the recovery period for the flu is much shorter than it is for Covid. I understand what it means to be anxious about illnesses. Try to do some thing sedentary to distract yourself, and make sure you get enough fluid and rest..
