Alone at Christmas
Hi nonova1 - I have had lonesome Christmases in the past, so I might be able to relate. Could you maybe go to a church service? I am not real sure what I will be doing on Christmas (if anything at all), but if you would like to, you can PM me anytime and I will reply when I can.
thank you. l have so much social anxiety I find it hard to attend church. I lost my dialysis partner 10 months ago. We lived together for almost 2 years. I can't get her off my mind.
So sorry to hear. My grandma was on kidney dialysis for about 15 years. It was not easy for her. I have social anxiety also so I know church can be intimidating especially if you don't already know anybody there. I should be home at least part of Xmas day (if not all). A lot of times I celebrate with friends on Christmas Eve and stay home on Christmas day. If you would like to chat (anytime, now, or then), I will still reply to you when I can.
i do not celebrate Christmas but just know that your not alone people will support you
I'll probably be alone this Christmas as well. I'm planning to do something, either a train ride, a cruise trip, or just staying home decorating my room and warm up some mulled wine. Bake a cake, brew some tea and enjoy them with a good book. Things like that. Perhaps play online games if I want company.
Unfortunately I can relate. I'm always alone.
Yes. And it's rough. I even booked a trip to see fam for the holidays this year but they all made plans since 💀 lol my husbands family aren't fans of mine. So I'll probably be stuck in an air b&b by myself...instead of home by myself while he goes lol. I'll be happy to bs with you. Maybe we can watch something and talk about or something.
