Girl hasn't texted me back and I've been feeling super anxious and depressed

I asked out a girl yesterday and she said yes. I tried texting her today and she hasn't responded yet. It's been making me feel really bad because when I've had to wait this long before they had boyfriends. Also it makes me feel like she doesn't care if she goes out with me or not.

Well done for having the courage to ask a girl out. Dont worry about her not texting back. People take different lengths of time to respond to texts and she may be busy with work or family things etc. If she said yes to you then thats a good sign. Try get your mind away from her texting and look forward to when you have your date.

Oh I probably should've said I don't have an actual date set with her. I just asked she'd like to get coffee with me sometime

People just want to be happy and know they are cared about, so if she senses that she can relax around you enough to be happy with you and she feels you are genuine enough to care about her then I cant see why she wouldnt text you back. I guess it takes patience to show these things though and sometimes its about what you dont do, not just about what you do. Stay with the connection but when you get in touch be patient and give her space to get back to you in her own time. Its not an easy balance to learn but you will be ok. You will learn to become more relaxed with yourself. I know because Ive gone through the same process as you and understand☺️

Yay for you! I agree she may be busy and text you back when she is avalible . Also as a female sometimes women don’t like to text back too soon to make them look desperate, I don’t know if this is her case but I have heard it and experienced many times with my friends. For me I just like texting back people as soon as I can but I have friends that like to wait so they don’t seem needy . I would say just wait and see what happens and I hope everything works out the best for you !

It just seems a little excessive to wait this long but I'll try not to think about it too much since there is no way to know for sure. Thank you I hope so too
