some helpful tips on helping to get through anxiety/depression

my daughter and I both suffer from anxiety and depression. Chewing on ice chips when my daughter is having anxiety helps her. Listening to music also helps both of us. My only advice on music is try not to listen to any sad/ dark songs when having anxiety/depression. Some songs are actually funny. I hope this helps someone.

thanks for the tips! I have read the long term affects of chewing on ice is not good for your teeth , idk have you or your daughter experienced any teeth sensitivity or problems with the ice chewing ? I do like to chew ice when anxious just nervous about the long term effects.

Maybe chewing on sugarless gum, there are a lot of good flavors available anymore.

i’ve never heard of chewing on ice chips! i need to try that sometime. when i have anxiety i try to chew some mint gum (bc i get tummy issues when i get anxiety) and i try to talk to people bc i find that talking helps me a lot. i’ll usually facetime my cousin and we talk and laugh or just do homework or color. i also have a super bad habit of biting my nails when i’m anxious so don’t do that 🤣 i also like to drink some sprite bc i get these little burps in my throat and that seems to help. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
