Always good to hear from you also

I have dealt with this is my case for like 4 years it was due to anxiety I know because I got a lot of test done and all came back negative . That pain would be on and off going on for a few days or weeks and then going away for a bit , but it was crippling pain . Fast toward to this year I was getting the same crippling pains and I didn’t want to go back to the doctor because I didn’t want to be told again that it was nothing but I still went and so behold something was really wrong with me this time that was causing my stomach pain . So I would first try some coping methods to see if the problems subside , but if it keeps occurring I would say go get it checked out .

*also stress and anxiety can aggravated and height stomach problems so I would say also maybe try adjusting your diet to include foods that are high in vitamins . For me eating less sweets and processsd foods helped as well as including more high fiber foods, fruits and drinking and eating things that had ginger .

most definitely! I was diagnosed with IBS years ago. In hindsight I know stress was behind it. At the time they couldn’t convince me that something wasn’t seriously wrong. When my nerves quieted down some so did my digestion. Thinking of you ❤️

I have days like that too. I was tearful yesterday as a matter of fact. It’s ok though. It doesn’t mean that we’re weak or any other negative thing that could come to mind. Some days are just emotionally hard. I like to think of the crying as getting that emotional energy out. *hugs*

You should definitely get checked out by your PCP and possibly referred to a gastroenterologist . Although you didn’t say what kind of problems you are having. I feel nauseous and have occasional vomiting with it. An endoscopy revealed nothing of concern but I am constantly stressed by my Bipolar depression/anxiety and end stage renal failure on dialysis. I take zofran which helps a lot with my symptoms.

Hi, I think its the stress frpm my work. My personal has drastically gotten qorse the last two years. I feel like I have no strength to fight for myself anymore

It could be from stress. If not stress probably makes it worse. I know stress is one of my biggest migraine triggers.

I think so, too

yes. Every panic attack, or anxiety, i have bad stomach problems for weeks afterwards. I have went several months without anxiety or panic, & it gets all better, no issues at all. Then, bad anxiety or panic, right back to square one, sadly. I have a gastroenterologist appointment in December, but have no insurance, so i may cancel it because my stomach is finally getting better again. Hope u feel better soon.

HI Anonymous, if you are in the US maybe you can go to a county health clinic. Hope you continue to feel better. Can you go to a general practitioner. Sending you healing vibes💞💞💞💞💫 Here for you will always listen to you💜

i went to GP & it cost $150 for 1 visit (after being to the ER several times in last couple years). They're who made a referral to gastroenterologist & recommended i go. They told me about a place i could go to try & get help, so i will soon, but there's a long, long waiting list, they said. This gastroenterologist was 3 months before i could get in. I delayed my appointment to see if I'd continue feeling better, & the next time i could get in was 3 months later (& that had nothing to do with not having insurance, they hadn't been told yet, so didn't know how i was paying). Thankfully, it's feeling better now. This will be motivation to find work soon, so i can afford it next time I need something like this. I'm feeling lots better, though, thanks for the well wishes. I hope you feel better soon, too.

just for reference, my stomach problems lasted 4 months, & they gave me several things at the emergency room, proton pump inhibitors, acid reducer, nausea medicine, & IBS meds for "colicky pain". None of those got rid of the pain. I can't say if it would have been worse if i didn't take those, but they t didn't seem to help at all. Definitely, it's worth getting any pain checked out if u can, i think, but just in case u can't, i read that most injuries humans have will heal in 3 months, based on studies i read where they would follow up with people & those who didn't go seek help were almost all better in 3 months. I can't remember where i read that, but somewhere in my health anxiety panic searches, so surely it's not too hard to find online. So, if something is still bothering you after 3 months, it may be more serious & something your body can't heal on it's own. Now, i have experience with this, & it seemed longer, 4 months, but i was still having panic attacks during some of that time, so that probably kept doing more damage. Finally i haven't had panic attack in the last month or so , (i have had bad anxiety, but it eventually passes) & that seems to have given it time to heal, thankfully. I was taking Klonopin for the last 20 years, so i usually didn't have full blown panic attacks, so this was new for me (off of Klonopin since January 2022, because no doctors here will prescribe it, it seems, or so the doctors I've seen tell me &all psychiatrists available locally told me that up front when i told them i needed treatment for anxiety/panic attacks, but i was limited in the ones who would see me without insurance).

The healing vibes worked for me so far, so I'm them right back at you, & everyone who commented here (prayers from me, also). Thank you!

Anonymous, I wish health cost werent so expensive im glad you are feeling better. Thank for telling me abou the three months. My past therapist has told me thst emotions and anxiety are only temporary. Thank you, Anonymous. Im keeping you in my prayers. You friend, Gg

It is proven scientifically that for those of us who have mental illnesses and anxiety disorders, this will lead to many health problems. I was diagnosed a long time ago with IBS-D and thought there was no cure, so I just lived with it.

I have found some relief by taking 4500 mg. or 3 capsules of 1500 mg. Psyllium Husk, 2 capsules of PepZinGi (contains zinc) capsules and changed my diet (eat gluten free and healthy food). Also, Oil of Peppermint and Oil of Oregano helps too.

I am in the middle of taking long overdue medical tests to see what else is going on with my body. So far I am being treated for high blood pressure (pretty sure it's white coat syndrome but have accepted it's high blood pressure anyway) and will start taking medicine for high cholestrol, etc.

Yes, it's best to consult your primary care physician, but I just wanted to let you know what helped me.

Having stomach issues lead to more anxiety for me because I would always have to be near a bathroom or I might have an "accident." I once had one when I was with a group of people and it was traumatic!

Last im glad you are receiving test. Im sorry you are struggling with IBS. One time my position told me that the blood pressure was due to the stress level at my workplace I just wish you were feeling better and I hope your blood pressure lowers and I hope you're anxiety gets better too

Thank you for your kind words.

My anxiety disorder is a result of childhood adverse experiences and adult traumas. Because I didn't seek therapy until the beginning of my senior years, the medical issues I now face are a result of that delay in the healing process. Finding a really kind, supportive and good therapist has been a life saver for me; and one that specializes in treating trauma. I now have a ring of supportive and loving people around me, as well as I have created a safe haven at home. It looks like you are trying to do that here, and you should applaud yourself for taking the step to reach out. But be patient, the road will be long and bumpy.

Life is hard as it is, but dealing with pain and recurring flashbacks/triggers from past traumatic events is a double whammy. I am trying to face my demons head on, and many times I fall down still. But success and pride can be found in learning how to pick yourself up, like a baby takes its first walk.

I don't know what lead you here, but just know that we all got to this support group for a reason and in pursuit of and knowledge from others who have gone through what we have. And the numbers I read about of people that feel like me are large.

Keep trying and reaching out, but most of all work on your self-compassion. Because you are definitely worth the love in yourself you will find.

Yes!! It is so bad in my case. When stressed I often make myself throw up the little food I do have in my stomach and then live off water until then anxiety subsides enough. I have gotten so many X-rays and tests run and it all came back negative as well. It’s discouraging to me because I think I’m crazy but I know that’s what it is. Anxiety medication such as Zoloft daily and the as needed use of hydroxyzine has helped nauseousness. I also see a therapist and that also helps a lot.
