Brain fog….🤯🤯

My mind is like my internet browser, 19 tabs open, 3 of them are frozen, and I have no idea where the music is coming from…. a quote

Before I share my experience with brain fog, its important to give brief idea about what is brain fog? Brain fog is not a diagnosis; rather, it’s a general term that describes a series of symptoms. For example, you might have issues with short-term memory, or lack of concentration or mental clarity, or the inability to focus on a task.It is not a disease, but rather a reaction to specific circumstances. Each one of us has experienced these things on one or more occasions like:

“The right word is on the tip of my tongue…”

“Where did I leave my keys?”

“Why did I come into this room?”

“Why can’t I seem to keep my thoughts together?”

But when these incidents increases so much then we say that brain fog hits you.

Brainfog or confusion is in it self very serious but not a life threatning situation…😃😃😃😃…… so no one takes you seriously actually if speaking honestly, In reality it’s not that easy to understand most of the times people dealing with patient having brain fog or confusion because even patient himself is not able to describe it clearly. Ohhh Yes, I mistakingly use word patient here, ‘coz when most of people could not relate to this word as this condition is not a disease so it’ll be wrong to use word patient.

As a fibromyalgia warrior (mostly fibro patients called themselves warrior as we have to deal with so many symptoms) I have np other option than to experience this brain fog, so I am suffering from this condition and if you can trust me it just don’t kill you but is strong enough to make u feel so miserable , life suddenly becomes a big hell when this fog hits…… you simply go blank there is so much chaos in your mind but no thought… you’re blank and full of chaos at the same time. You’re doing your routine but you don’t have idea what you are doing… you don’t remember how you manage the things and this makes you more irritating and frustrating… it’s something like that you have short term memory loss… You did something but you don’t remember,How?? You just get a void in your brain ,say…. like your brain is dead but you are alive. You look perfectly normal to others but you are in complete mess. Your mind processor becomes slow, you listen what others are saying like your ears hear the words/ sentences other saying but your brain takes time to process it/ extracting information out of that… so obviously reaction time gets longer.

Because of this,I stopped going even for grocery shopping at woollies, because when I reached there, if suddenly brain fog hits( there’s no pre intimation of fog to hit) then I stand stupidally in aisle thinking what the hell I’m doing here🤔🤔

Brain fog lasts from few minutes to few hours or day or so. Main cause of brain fog is actually side effect of certain other medical problems like vitamin deficiencies, food sensitivities, thyroid disorders, blood pressure changes, certain medicine side effects, depression, stress, anaemia, fibromyalgia, Chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep disorder to name few.

So if anyone of you experience this confusing or brain fog condition more frequently then don’t ignore it, it’s true that it’s not life threatning situation but threaten for normal living. so consult your doctor to find out underlying cause of brain fog…….pratyaya #brainfog #mind #chronicpatient #fibroeffects

what you’re describing sounds more intense than computer related fog but screens do cause a lot of that. We haven’t fully acknowledged that as a society yet. I imagine screens make it harder too.

I wonder how much of brain fog is actually due to normal aging. I know that i'm prone to anxiety and potentially blowing things out of proportion which i've found makes memory worse so I try to give myself some slack about it. I've also found when going to the store that I need a list and if it's not on the list it's not going to get purchased LOL!

I'm sure a lot. But I don't think that is what this post is referring to. There is a lot of new research about how exercise, diet, and mental puzzles help. Another reason to walk :) ... which of course I haven't yet today. :/

If I don't make notes in a meeting forget it. Even the smallest to do has to be written. I have three to do apps for which I have no good excuse.

I get it about the walking and try to do it at least 3 or 4 times a week but it's easy to get distracted - LOL! I was volunteering before covid which was good for mental and physical stimulation but it ground to a halt with covid, i'm just now starting to get back into it.

good for you! I’m volunteering for the election cycle otherwise I’m pretty busy with my exercise, work, hobbies. I agree it is hard. At least I do close my watch rings most days but a walk habit would be better.
