The only med that directly impacted my social anxiety was Klonopin a benzo which is fast acting and supposedly addicting, which I never had issues with, and they don't like prescribing it. It was like someone flipped a switch and I could feel what "normal" felt like. It helped reduce my anxiety but didn't eliminate it. Getting help with SA and learning what it really is and how to heal it was the real solution.

Thankyou so much for replying! I will research that medication, I am starting some therapy too which will hopefully help, just so deliberating living like this! Thankyou

You're welcome. If you can't find a therapist who specializes in treating SA, there are programs/info available online and youtube. although I would have preferred to work with a specialist in person there wasn't one near me at the time so used an online program from the socialanxietyinstitute.org that was helpful.
