Moving out

Lookingforhope20100 profile image

So those of you that follow me or read my posts know I have a very mentally abusive family. Of course I dealt with it bcuz I simply had no other option well my boyfriend just asked me to move in with him. I just wonder if it's too soon we have only been together 3 months... now let me explain he just wants to get me out of that house so that I can have a better life for me and my daughter. He is great with her and he really cares about me

It seems like you have already decided what is the best course to take. The three month old relationship is a concern as your true compatibility may not be unlocked yet so there is a risk. Weigh your decision with a pros and cons list and then take the plunge. Strive to fix any cons and expand the pros. A healthy happy home is something your child will thank you for.

Having been stuck in an abusive home I can relate to how you must feel (in my own way) and the desire to escape. It would be nice if this was a move that worked well for you, your daughter and your boyfriend but we can't see the future. Good luck!

You have to do what is right for you and your daughter . If you think that moving in with your boyfriend is a better choice then you should go for it . In better circumstances I wouldn't advice moving in with someone after just 3 months but it's much better to be somewhere you are both safe and cared for . 🐼

Three months isn't long which concerns me a bit but then again three months was more than enough time for my husband and I to realize we should be together. Just had to get through school, find jobs and plan a wedding first (which took eight years since we started dating in hogh school) I hope with all my heart things work out for you and your daughter. Keep us posted.

I think you need to proritise your daughter here and consider what is going to be best for her.

If it works for all of you, then go for it!

It's just a change which may end up good or bad, after 3 months it is too early to tell, but, if the move takes the pressure off then it will be good for both of you.

Later, if it doesn't work out, you can move on again.

Cheers, Midori
