Sadly sometimes your instinct can be off especially if your body is super sensitive from anxiety and stress I’ve learned that multiple times and the hard way.
I know what you mean. I am also that way. But I try to search deeply when I am able. When are ever eventually able to quiet the mind a bit pay attention to what types of thoughts and feelings come up. Or try to figure out what your dreams mean.
I would say my gut instinct is always right and never wrong. If something feels off or weird to me I pay attention to that.
Yes what happened to me around this same time yesterday when I was yelled at is now coming back to me and my heart races I feel unsettled and sad and anxious … I’m deep breathing. I’m taking care of myself… I’m scared it will happen again though, just waiting… I don’t trust … I don’t feel very safe.
I think those of us with anxiety/depression are confused about our instincts. With anxiety the instinct is to flee and yet there is no tiger. I think it's more about learning to trust your heart and not your head (thoughts).
