Let's talk about self-care, self-love and funny stuff

So i'm officially sick, i have some flu or something, had fever for real. And it's contributing to my mental health feeling fragile. I freak out over everything. Mental and physical health are so connected. I was stressed so my immune system declined. So anyway this shows up how much i need to take care of myself. And that If i had stronger sence of self, i wouldn't pressure myself so much, i would put boudaries (with family, roommates, creeps, my boss, unimates...) without feeling guilty. I read a saying "When mental health is bad, Treat yourself like you have a cold" and i really have so. Self care isn't always candle and bubble baths (tho they're nice) sometimes it's taking your meds, eating, putting boudaries, not Overthinking, letting myself rest, seeing something funny. But you have to love yourself enough to do it. And i need stronger sence of self.

stress decres immune syst5em not uncommon pick up a bug

supportive nursing care...feel crappy for ahwile but support the pa5tien5 to fight off the bug....pour all health into the patient u can...care care care carelll...i never play fair.....

Yeah, stress weakened my immune system and it couldn't take my own bacteria. I'm constantly stressed and it's killing me. Trying to take care of myself, drink orange juice with a lot of vit C so at least my immune system recovers

I totally agree! I always said that self care is more than just bubble baths and treating yourself. Sometimes it’s doing hard choices that will help you in the future. When I’m feeling sick, I like to turn on some cartoons. They’re funny and wholesome and they usually end up on a happy note. It’s also good to allow your inner child to come out when times are bad. You’ll get through this bud!

Aw thanks. Exactly. You gave me a really good idea, plus i do need an inner Child work and love cartoons. When my roommates aren't home i love to turn on Nicelodeon and watch cartoons like The loud house, The Last airbender, The legend of Korra. Love Despicable me and the minions, my sister acts it tough but she still has a soft spot for the minions. And actually cartoons in general. Glad im not the only 22yo who likes them. Also videogames

You’re definitely not alone in this haha I like to watch we bare bears when I’m feeling anxious. It’s my comfort show, it makes me feel better. I also love marvel so i’ll watch those marvel cartoons like earths mightiest heroes or avengers assemble. They’re good if you want more of a story

Yeah. I watched some cartoons likr Spider man and X man. The plott. Also some DC like Teen titans go and The Green lantern. Currently obssessed with She-ra and the princesses of power, planning to watch Voltron Legendary Defender. Watched Arcane as a league player but it was a bit too heavy for me
