I know you all are not accustomed to the kind of heat you’re having over there. Take it easy! Keep the fans going and wear a hat outside.

Thank you for your kind wishes. It's only for a couple of days - today was expected to be the last xx

Glad to hear it. You’ve all been on the news here. 104 f is high even for the southern states. More common in the southwest. Temps in upper eighties and nineties not unusual in July where I live.

Thanks. I am retired so can avoid the really hot middle of the day thank goodness. Much better than rain and grey skies but a little too much for me!

I was just thinking the same thing! To all our UK friends please be careful in the heat and stay hydrated.

Yes queeniz I’m fine. I work outside so kind of used to the heat but I know how hard it can be for those who aren’t accustomed to it. I drink a lot of fluids and always always wear a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses.

I'm staying indoors with the curtains closed as it helps to filter the heat. All the internal doors are open and a few windows on the shady side of the place! Fans with iced water in front of them, and wearing as little as I can get away with, and not shock the postman!

Cheers, Midori
