I’m 23 and still scared of things I see in films. After watching ST season 4 I’m scared that the monsters in it are real and find myself checking the house and locking my doors trying to calm down. I can rationalise I’m being crazy but it doesn’t get rid of the fear.
Is this normal still?

How many beds you have ?? (little check)
Well, Me Too—Saving Private Ryan, shook me to my soul!! Still, to this day! I watch it alone & recall it that way. This next should help- recently I shared my fear, right in this forum, it took some of the load off. People I need People. You Do Too
Sshh Luna-You 60 now-Just had Birthday 🎉 ‘Member??😉 Worry! Got your Back ssshhh
I realize it now- get my steam, a runaway 🚂 train. One of my troubles- Sorry Luna, I apologize! Forgive me??
Max’s story line especially. They really went deep with the depression/mental health/suicidal ideations in a very real way. I feel like that “monsters under the bed” mentality is us looking for a tangible reason to feel what we feel because sometimes it’s unexplainable.
For me, when it comes to being able to completely settle, I do things that make me feel like I have power/control over a negative situation even if I feel like it’s in my head.
Getting a dog hugely helped me feel like I would be alerted immediately and would scare someone away if someone were to really come into my space. I also practice a few energy clearing things to keep the negative to a minimum (e.g. salt lamps, incense, vinegar/salt water room cleanses, etc), really whatever it takes to help me feel mindful of positive energy because positive attracts positive.
I watched something on Masaru Emoto’s water theory like 10 years ago and it really highlighted for me the science behind positive energy and it’s effects on our physical and mental health.
