Anyone taking cymbalta for depression?

I took it for about a year. I used it because I had a low sodium problem caused by other ssri and Cymbalta is less likely to cause this side effect. It probably helped a little. I stopped after a year because my doctor thought it was not effective enough.

My husband has been on it for 6 years now. He never experienced any type of depression until an accident that causes a brain bleed so when he started displaying the signs of depression cymbalta was what the dr ordered first thing. It took about 6-7 months to start seeing a difference and worked great for nearly 4 years before his dosage needed to be adjusted. The dr slightly upped the dosage and so far he's been doing good getting back to less depressive episodes. It seems to work good for him.
