I hope Dr. explained to you why your meds have been decreased. It helps to know. Don't be unduly afraid of the anxiety. Arm yourself with tools you need to combat it. What works for me is when I feel the onset, I relax and let it flow over me. I keep in mind that it cannot harm me. It can only make me feel uncomfortable if I allow it to. I do little things to take my mind away like getting a drink of iced water, taking a slow walk in the yard, weeding, washing my hair, brushing my cat. Just the simple actions takes concentration and my mind off the physical effects of anxiety. If I'm unable to do that for any reason, I deep breath while imagining myself in the beautiful places I dream of. These are only examples of what works for me. Try to find those that work for you. There are many sites and suggestions here that can help you formulate your own arsenal to fight anxiety and depression. Therapy was the key to helping me cope. I hope you find those that work . . . keep reading and posting, it really helps to have support from others. Keep strong; I hope you begin to feel better . . . peace.

I'm having a hard time finding therapy that helps or a therapist I can connect with.

Hi! You have been reducing your medications for some time now, And looks like you've done ok, My Cymbalta was reduced recently, and haven't had any side effects, so hopefully, that will be the same for you. Please don't worry about something that hasn't happened, ok?

Have you talked to your doctor or therapist how you are feeling? Think that might be a good idea.

in reply to HearYou

I talked to doctor. He said put the cymbalta back up

Does that mean he told you to increase the cymbalta, or for you to put it back up on the shelf and not take it?

in reply to HearYou

He wants me to increase it.

But was your day any better with Cymbalta than without it? Could you tell? I use anything I know that might help......walking, writing a journal, meditation, deep breathing, .adult coloring books. Anything that makes you feel occupied and calm.Ok?

in reply to HearYou

I can't calm down. What do you write in the journal

I'm afraid of the thoughts

Writing down on paper what thoughts scare you can help the fear decrease, as you can see them and they can't hurt you...you had control by putting them done on paper. You are in control when you do that, not them. Write that you know they do not have control, you do and you're going to write about them until the energy you are using to write about them uses up the energy it takes for your fear and bad thoughts to be around. Tell everything that is bothering that you are going to kick the heck out of them...get mad at them for hurting you and then write what you are going to do with them...flush them down the commode ( real, not really, but you get my meaning?)

in reply to HearYou

I did flush thoughts down the toilet. I went to reiki and the therapist would do that. But one day she said she was sick of my negativity and told me to go home take all my pills and drink a bottle of whiskey and it will all be over

WHAT? Did your therapist actually tell you to take all your pills and drink booze and die? Are you n UK or US?

in reply to HearYou

Us

in reply to HearYou

She's not actually a therapist she does reikiand meditation and yoga.

I'm so afraid. The cymbalta did nothing.

One day on Cymbalta is not long enough to get it woring in your system. I take it and it helps me. Keep your focus that i will take a few days, ok?

in reply to HearYou

Ok

in reply to HearYou

I think I belong in the hospital

I already read your post that you sent. Did you call your doctor, or family to take you to the hospital? I had to leave for awhile? I want you to get the help you need. You said you called the crisis line and the person told you to go to the hospital. Are you there?

No
