Welcome! Yes I totally can relate to how you’re feeling I also struggle with health anxiety and other things. If you wanted I have some posts on my page about how it’s made me feel and such. Was having constant panic attacks still do sometimes it’s horrible. My body feels like it’s always ready to fight. I’m trying BUSPAR and hopefully trying talk therapy again

Hearing you say your body’s always ready to fight is exactly the way i feel it’s frustrating I seem to get frustrated like really because im trying to run from it , I like therapy so that’s good your doing that I feel it gives you someone to vent and work on anything that’s affecting daily life , my doct put me on martazipine they’ve mentioned buspar im trying everything but I get to paranoid with side effects and it makes it hard

I fully understand getting paranoid with side effects a lot of time meds seem to make me more anxious at first I’m trying to get through the anxiety to see if it actually reduces the anxiety

Hello, Birdie23. I also struggle with that feeling. It's like my body's fight or flight response is always set to on. It is incredibly frustrating.

It’s nice to know I’m not the only one for awhile I thought I was going crazy

You’re not the only one. I’ve felt keyed up and tightly wound for the last 5-6 years. Sleep is pretty much my only respite from it. Anyone who says this is a normal part of being human is lying out their backside. Anxiety responses shouldn’t be always on.

Sadly my best relief has been heavy sedation and sleep, when the anxiety doesn’t wake me up at 4-6am. I never felt this bad before my first out-of-left-field panic attack. I’m trying to live in the present but the present stinks too.

Only other thing I can think of that I found somewhat helpful was soaking up some sun on a good weather day.

Hi Birdie I know how you feel , I wake up & within the hour my anxiety is having a fight against my innards where my butterflies are now the size of Pterodactyl & my brain has thoughts that I just know is me over thinking but I can't stop & for years I've not had a good night's sleep.

I used to. I would get such horrible tension and almost electrical like feelings in my arms that I would have to shake my arms real hard to get it to stop. It's been a few years or more since I had that. My mental state has improved so much since CBT,, prayer and meditation. I hope you are feeling better soon.

hey birdie23, same here. One thing that helps me sometimes is going for a walk

I have this problem, too. I find that CBD oil helps me calm down, especially when I'm trying to go to sleep.

Some days I look forward to going to work. I can always be myself.. It gets me out of bed.. I text my friends.. Video chat, listen to music, sing and sometimes dance in the house. It works at the moment. Other days it is hard to get up for the day. I'm enjoying my dreams

I just read your post and the replies and know exactly how you feel. I’ve been the same way most of my life.

The biggest help for me has been the DARE approach by Barry McDonaugh for anxiety and panic attacks. It’s easy to find online. I highly recommend starting with getting the book. Their app is wonderful too! In a nutshell, it’s all about acceptance of your anxiety symptoms and learning to not fear them. The more you try to avoid the feelings, the worse you’ll get. By facing them, you gradually regain your freedom from it’s grasp and realize you are truly safe.

This acceptance approach has been taught since the 60s (Google Claire Weekes). DARE has helped thousands and thousands of people struggling with anxiety.

The Anxious Truth podcast is another great resource which follows the same acceptance method.

Between those 2 resources (AND my faith in God) I am getting better every day! I hope you look into it.

I feel your pain.. currently battling it out every single day. Hang in there. Breathing is your best friend. My favorite is in 4 seconds, out 7 seconds, 8 times. I also like to do Mississippis because it distracts my mind from thinking anything else but counting and breathing.

I feel like that alot. I tried to clean up the things that bothered my anxiety such as I had alot of clothes and clutter . I went thru it all. Donated 70% of what I dont use or wear. Even things that are simple can cause people anxiety. Once I cleared out my clutter and simplied my life down to less is more. It helped me a great deal. It made me feel 50% better. Maybe it could help you too.

Hello Birdie23. Anxiety really stinks. Especially when you get pains that won’t go away and the anxiety makes it much worse than it is. Crazy thing is you can feel it anywhere in your body. The brain is powerful! I hate feeling on the edge. I do hope you feel better! God bless and good luck.
