It’s an absolutely spectacular day in the Midwest USA! Sunny high in low 80’s. Been out in the garden since early morning. Planted some new perennials in my butterfly gardens. Milkweed is blooming with huge pink balls of flowers too. Monarch’s love it both for nectar and as a nursery for their caterpillars. Keep your fingers crossed! The monarch’s need our help.

Cheering up!
Right now the heat isn’t bad because the humidity is so low. Saturday is supposed to be hot and hopefully rain on Sunday. My water bill is going to be a doozy!
It was in the 90s in some parts of the UK last week . This week has been cooler and more mid- upper 70s Tomorrow is going to be low 70s. Your butterfly garden sounds a lovely idea. My garden has a spot by the pond which is a kind of wild garden and we get lots of bees there.
Hi MadBunny. Yes I get a lot of butterflies and other pollinators. I planted some Little Adder agastache (the bees go nuts for it) and two Abbey Road astrantia. It’s supposed to attract them. I have them near my butterfly watering dish along with Calamint. I love to listen to the humming in the early morning.
Awesome. Gardening is really relaxing, started trying it. And cheers for helping the monarchs, i would be scared of the caterpillars
I live in the Midwest as well. We have a butterfly garden with milkweed, a butterfly bush and other flowers. Enjoy your day!
