Scared as hell

So I had agreat little weekend vacation and then on Sunday started getting intense pain in my abdomen and thought it was apensositise they ran tests and did scans and they found a 15mm growth on my appendix and intestine, I'm currently waiting in a surgons office to get a consult and I'm freaking out what if its cancer what if it's something else that's deadly I'm freaking out and don't know what to do.

First, take a breath. Do you know any breathing exercises? If so, do them to try and calm down. Let’s look at the positives: you were able to get medical care when you needed it, doctors have found a cause and now you await a course of action. You can “what if” yourself into a frenzy. Whatever it is, you can handle it. The waiting is definitely terrible but we are here for you to vent to. Hope you hear something soon.
