My meds have me tired alot. Keep being told It'll get better but the Dr isn't going through it. Plus I'm dual diagnosis.
I just need some one who gets what I'm going through. I enjoy living alone be but on SSD ,,& home 24/7.

Have you tried taking the meds at bedtime?

Sometimes I felt like a guinea pig from all the array of meds& combos. Therapists always said it's not just the meds you have to work on urself too. Makes sense yes but substance abuse added in there doesn't help. Naltrexone I started few days ago to cut alcohol cravings but@ one time was only for opiate users. Grateful I haven't touched heroin since February 2017 largely due to incarceration. It's what it took.
I've felt that way also about the meds and Guinea Pig. There's no hard fast rules that's the problem. Brain chemistries and even physician preference plays a big part in how we get what works for us. I've tried so many I can't even count.
Congratulations on your success at getting off heroine. That must have been quite the fight. I have a family member that stopped alcohol only by incarceration. That's what it took and it's been 2 years.
Dual diagnosis has its own special difficulty, you are si right.
You conquered one huge issue. You do have the strength. It's in there just don't give up.
Wishing you success as you continue on your path to healing.

Actually yes... remeron is basically sleepytime med but in morning feels like was out partying all nite. The gabapentin I must admit is like magic both for depression & nerve damage.
I had that hangover feeling with a few meds. It's brutal.
I've heard a lot of people have good outcomes with gabapentin. Glad something is working for you
