Unexpected boisterous evening which gladdened the heart.

A neighbour asked me if i would be interested in going to a concert at my local church last night, and i was in two minds whether to go,and then i thought go for it,its only 5 minutes walk away, and it was in aid of Ukraine.

i thought it would be held in the hall, but no it was actually in the church, and the place was packed.

There were 14 people on Ukulele as well as folk on drums and keyboard, playing and singing all genre of popular music from the 60's until the present day,the place rocked. It was 3 hours of non stop entertainment except for an interval where we all had wine and snacks, and they raised over £3000.

I cant imagine what Noel the vicar thought as the music was deafening and i doubt the church had ever experienced such a rumbustious evening since it was built.

It sounds like a fantastic night out, all in a good cause. And a good sum of money raised. Sometimes these impromptu outings are the best! I often dont feel like going somewhere, then I make the effort and I'm glad I did!

Yes sometimes I find that the short notice things can be great!

Back last September I was due to have had an interview at public health Wales on video on the Thursday morning and something came up at short notice which meant the interview was no longer possible so I got in contact with them and said I was sorry but sadly the interview on the Thursday was no longer possible as something urgent had come up that couldn't be changed rather than just not turning up and not letting them know.

At first I was disappointed that the interview was no longer possible but sadly in life these things happen that make booked appointments no longer possible to do.

Then I decided on a trip out to Barry island that Thursday and that I did as well and I really really enjoyed it even though it came about unexpectedly at short notice!

Looking back when that happened I do feel yet again life was stepping in and telling me no to the interview for public health Wales as it wasnt what was right for me and yes to an impromptu trip out to Barry island!

You won't be able to take the dogs on the beach though between Now and the end of September though.

On Friday I saw some spoilt dogs there enjoying a swim!

They have beach huts there now that you can hire for the day.

Sounds fabulous, glad you enjoyed it.

I love getting asked out to things even if I can't make them as it's nice to be asked even if you have to say sorry I can't make it.
