I had to turn on my gospel music today. I was going into a bad place for a moment. I had turned on my gospel and I read a poem written on this site. I continued to listen to my radio station. The preacher said people think when you help others it means you do not sometimes need help yourself. Far, from the truth. I made it back into a place of peace.

There is that place
That is so true. When we help someone I think it is helping ourselves too. When we need help sometimes we forget that we could actually be helping someone else at the same time.
Very very true. Do not know what that place was I was going, but God said not so and I believe he had you share that poem at that time and it was that added push I needed.
I am glad that you were able to succeed and have a peaceful day. At school (a major Christian University) there were a handful a preachers who just didn't get it. They were well meaning, good people, but sometimes didn't understand that many people still have struggles. I have anxiety and am reaching out to others in part to help myself. I wish you continued peace in your life.
Glad you are doing better. I listen to Bishop Jakes every morning while exercising. His messages speak volumes to me. Gets my head on the right track.
You are right about the Harvest and workers. Being a joyful worker brings the greatest happiness. As Jesus said, There's more happiness in giving than receiving! Who can deny that...
The world of mankind needs "Good News" and it's wonderful to join the great cloud of witnesses. Past and present.
Hope you're having a productive day. Agape
Amen Newbie, I am having a good day, Praise the Lord. I hope the same for you.
