I’ve recently noticed I’ve been a lot more dehydrated then I use to be not sure what’s causing it maybe it’s all the stress and anxiety but like most things with stress and anxiety it’s a horrible cycle which I guess they can cause each other. Has anyone else experienced dehydration from their mental Illness? My urine even smells strong it’s been this way off and on since I had covid back in February.

Dehydrated
Hi Adamj, have you recently had a urine test by your GP?It could very well be dehydration but you also want to rule
out any other issues going on.
I have to consciously remind myself to hydrate (since it is so important)
because I don't get thirsty. But yes, Anxiety can dehydrate when we
mouth breathe and sweat alot from stress. xx
It could be a side effect from medication as well. Keep yourself well hydrated or there are serious consequences both mentally and physically.
Hello! I had something similar back in 2020! Was at work and my chest got right, my shoulders ached, was not feeling well! Went to an Urgent Care. They told me it was anxiety! Up until then even when I almost had a breakdown I never felt like this!
The tightness lasted 3 days and as long as I was working I felt like poop!
Was sent to a cardiologist, ran all the tests, no blockage, not heart related! I chalked it up to stress and extreme dehydration! I buy the flavored sparkling water from Walmart, or the drink pouches, all kinds of flavors! It helps a lot!
