I have felt quite nonplussed about Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee until today, but i have suddenly bit the bullet and decided to celebrate with a Garden Party at my home for the local community, asking everyone to bring a plate to share together with their personal use beverage.
I have bunting and flags and no end of party assessories which i have salvaged from previous years,( yes we were party people) and entertained a great deal, but with the passing of my partner over 2 years ago i was in deep depression and had lost my mojo and a certain malaise set in,but suddenly i had a light bulb moment which told me i must get out of the poor me syndrome, and here i am and rarin to go.

Itβs Shnookie a Yank from across the pond. Itβs great that U R going to throw this splendid party π. One of my mantras is Life is for the Living !
What a great idea, and so lovely of you to organise it. I'm sure that so many will really appreciate it. And - more importantly - it's such an important step for you to take. I'm so pleased for you, that you feel ready to do this. Sorry - I hope you don't think I'm being patronising . I genuinely mean it π€
Oh thatβs wonderful, Iβm sure everyone will appreciate your beautiful garden , and a great step for you too, look forward to seeing lots of pics π
Good for you and go for it. You know what they say - if you can't beat them then join in and beat them at their own game. I am sure you and everyone will have a great time. Well done.
I will be avoiding it as much as possible as can't be doing with all that shite. I am no way a monarchist and object to them. A deserted island sounds good!
I think it's on until September so plenty of time. I'll take some photos. I must have a look to see what else is happening. I think I'll avoid London over the Jubilee weekend though as I still don't like being around large groups of people.
