S.A.D. treatment

Hey everyone! I have some seasonal affective Depression. It is worse in the dark winter months, but it starts to get better around March. However, this year my area has been hit with late snow, and wind for the past week-and-a-half.

I have been doing pretty well, and excited to think that "Spring" and Summer will be here soon. Planting flowers, seeing the trees bud out, and the grass get green... but the wind and weather is damaging and killing things and I am finding myself stuck inside watching things get damaged....

Question: what do you do for S.A.D.? I have a therapy light and try to do things inside, but it is almost not enough. Is there a supplement I can take to help? Any help is appreciated.

Hi! I take vitamin d.

I had to use a SAD light for years, was advised to take Vitamin D3, and never looked back! Not had to use the light since. Hope it works for you. x

My Mom has a special light and she takes vitamin D. I’m interested in getting something called a dawn simulator. It’s a different way of waking up than an alarm clock. You set a timer on this light and at the time you want to wake up it slowly fills the room with light until it’s very bright and you wake up. It might be a little expensive though. I have the hardest time getting up in the morning when winter hits which for me is around November.
