That was a close one?

Really brought back how really bad the times are at the moment! I had to walk to my local supermarket for my weekly shopping. Went to my ATM to get the money out, it saves money in long run if I keep away from shopping card, see money in cash only! 44p in my bank account, then the old ticker starts beating hard, try to ring sister on simple mobile [you know the story, where are they when you really need them?] Starting to panic, thinking I was in touch with bank online yesterday, maybe bogus connection, a hacker, etc. I mentioned to a customer in line my difficulty, she rings police, but cannot get through? Nice girl! Now the heavy part, I have terminal epilepsy, I know that if I panic, I will have a grand mal seizure [possibly my last?] (I have to keep real cool, pressure, anxiety, prime cause of my epilepsy which I have had over 50 years) I was taken to reception at supermarket, I explained my situation, and wheel chaired off to offices at rear. They were very level headed about the whole thing, even a big grin from one, Stephen, when we realised we both had diabetes 2. I was able to ring up my bank, and things were settled [I am a bit worse off than I thought, no ulterior parties involved, but a sign of how bad things are generally?] I am fine but came to realise what a fine line I am living in, my health very strained, BUT what a lovely crowd are working in my local supermarket [18 years a local there, take a bow, Tescos! ] I do not know who that girl was, who helped me in the ATM queue, also take a bow! Throughout this pandemic, mostly being in isolation, vulnerably disabled, let's face it the bad times are still not through yet! But very encouraging that despite this there are still some nice people around! Oh! thanks Sarah my sister for her help as well!
