Welcome K778 to this safe and caring forum.First of all, you are not alone. All of us on here, from across the world
have experienced what you are going through. We are all human and
feel the same emotions and pain.
Ways to deal with stress?? There are many. We each find our own way
as to what works best for us. I started out on medication and therapy.
But unless we reduce the stress in our lives by addressing the root of the
problem, we get nowhere and just stay stuck in a neverending cycle of fear.
I have used many modalities to get me where I am today, Anxiety Free.
Studying the Mind/Body Connection has provided me with the knowledge
as to how powerful our mind is. For myself, I am proficient in Meditation and
Breathing my stress away. I practice each and every day, 3x a day. I am always
one step ahead of my stressors. I no longer allow Anxiety to take hold, instead
any negative feeling is stopped before it has a chance to escalate.
I'm happy that you are with us. Together with the great people on this site, you
will learn as I have from each other. There is strength in number. You have taken
your first step in going forward in reaching your goal. xx
Thank you so much. I used to meditate. Maybe I will again someday… I know it is helpful.
K778, actually for me, meditation and breathing were the key to my success.I lost 5 years as an Agoraphobic. It wasn't until I seriously got into meditation
that I found my freedom from stress and fear.
In my meditation, I incorporate self-hypnosis, affirmations and relaxation.
I am mentally in a place now that just hearing Calm App commercial on TV
or the numbers receding on the Microwave or Elevator are enough within
a nano minute to bring down my shoulders, breathe and feel peace.
Our minds are an amazing instrument. Wishing you well my friend xx
