Friday afternoon after a long week of work. It’s always a challenge with OCD. I want to just crawl in my bed….but I have to drive 2 hours to my parent’s house. They are elderly and mom has some health problems and dad is completely overwhelmed and depressed. I share responsibilities with my siblings and since I am single I spend the weekends with them. I love being with them, but it is stressful. I work full time and everything I do is an OCD trigger. I come home late Sunday night and start back to work on Monday. I am not complaining but I don’t share this with anyone because we are all trying to do our part. I’m just tired. Thanks for letting me vent.

Hi it’s Shnookie. Of course U can vent on this site. U have a lot of responsibilities. I was a caregiver for my beloved mom on and off for years. We lived together and she was my best friend. Still at times it was a lot. U need self care as well. Try to listen to music U like, lavender bubble baths, etc. I’m here 4 U. Hugs 🤗 S

Being a Dutch girl, you need to practice the Wim Hof method! I absolutely love him ! I will be doing 30 minutes of the aggressive breathing exercises before I get out of bed. It’s best on empty stomach. And I will be going in me 42 degrees f swimming pool for 2 songs on my phone. Then swimming and sauna at the gym. Then maybe spending the night at my grandkids house, so I can lend a hand with the toddlers tonight and tomorrow. Do the beginners guided breathing exercises. And start with a cool shower. With the goal of being a full cold shower warrior in 3 months. Lowering the temperature a tiny bit each week. Google cold shower therapy for mental health.
