Hi all. I have depression and anxiety and have not been able to sleep for the longest time. I used to take 50mg trazadone but it doesn’t work. My psych prescribed me 150mg all the way to 300mg and said it’s normal and not to worry about the dose. I’ve been taking anywhere from 100 to 150mg and sometimes I can fall asleep and sometimes not and I always wake up middle of the night and can’t go back to sleep. Has anyone tried taking this much?
As for Prozac I was on 20mg and didn’t feel anything so now on 40mg and still nothing helps. It’s been about 5 weeks of being on it. I need something to work this is torture. Anyone else on it? I know every body is different but just looking for input.

I was prescribed trazodone 25mg. in July 2021, it helped for the first few weeks then it stopped working. My psychiatrist then upped the dose to 100mg, I took it once and it made me extremely dizzy, so I stopped taking it and by the third day, I ended up in the ER with trazodone withdrawals, it was horrible. As for the Prozac, I haven’t tried it. Best of luck finding something that helps you soon.
I’ve had on and off insomnia for many many years. I used to struggle because I didn’t want to take any sleeping aids. Finally my psychiatrist gave me a prescription for Lunesta and I’ve taken it for about 20 years on and off. I have to tell you, knowing that I have it in case I need it has provided me to relief from the anxiety that I always felt about not being able to sleep. I take a half of a 1 mg or if I need to I take a full pill but granted I don’t take this every day ; maybe once a week once every two weeks. Please talk to your doctor and see if he /she can give you a sleeping aid that works for you. It’ll help you go back to sleeping every night which is what your body needs. Once you establish that sleeping pattern, your body will start to take over. Please let us know or message me for a chat
