Night anxiety
Hello . Sorry you are having trouble sleeping . Are you on any medication as sometimes can be a side effect when starting new meds .I like sleep mediation / hypnosis . I enjoy these ones . youtube.com/c/MichaelSealey
Try listening to podcasts or audio books before sleeping or sleep stories .
Also avoid caffeine before bed about 6 hours Before . And also having a bath before bed can be relaxing as well.
If your still finding it difficult then see your doctor .🐼
Find out what's causing your anxiety.
Is there something that you are afraid of? Do you suffer from night terrors? Have you recently changed meds?
Please consider a therapist. He or she may be able to help you walk through whatever is causing your issue. Therapists have helped me so much in the past.
I really appreciate your post and all of the great responses, because I've suffered from night anxiety and nightmares for a lot of my life. I don't sleep well, and I'll have suffocating dreams that really freak me out. I stopped all SSRI meds about 8 months ago, and that really started the nightmares again. I had a few mild ones on meds, but generally nothing like when I'm off the meds. I really don't want to go back on meds because I was drinking heavily while on the meds and developed a serious problem. I'm sober now, but don't really want to go back on the meds.
I'm going to try the youtube meditation link that someone provided - this looks great!! And acceptance really is the key and learning not to fight the anxiety feelings - but easier said than done.
