And I know I’m not the only one in my position so I wanted to reach out to all of you and most importantly all who are feeling alone. If we remember we can get through x, y and z even if we don’t have people in our lives physically who understand, there are many people out there that we can connect with virtually. Knowing others out there feeling the same way you are can heal more than you know. So…
Merry Christmas!
I may be physically alone on the holidays- but never actually alone in the world. Many people who are healing have set boundaries with toxic family situations and will be spending this day alone. Me too.
Remember: “Christmas isn’t canceled, just you.” 🙊🙊🤭😂🤪😉 (thank you Kelly Clarkson)
AND… also remember “when you’re filled with self love you make better choices…”
Happy Holidays everyone. We got this!

Hello and a Happy Christmas 🎄
I have my Husband and Son at home with me so not alone in the sense with having someone about but still I find myself on here because I am crippled with anxiety at the moment and even if you have people about you still feel so very alone
I hope you have a lovely day whatever you do
And before we know it Christmas Day will be done
I sometimes say to myself it is just another day after all x
That is very true! Thank you for commenting! It is just another day 🥲☺️
And yes with a mental health disorder it feels very lonely but sometimes we forget that there are people out there who understand exactly how we feel. 🤍
That is why it is so good to have places like on here to come and talk as we understand what each other is going through Helplines can help but they do not know exactly how this feels only when you suffer do you know
I don't see it as being any more than another day. OK, my son and I eat differently than a regular day, and our main gift to each other is our company.
We get gifts for each other all year, so Christmas isn't really different for us. We are not religious in a way many would know, we prefer to celebrate the Winter Solstice, which brings 12th Night neatly to New Years Eve!
Our decorations are minimal, no tree this year, mainly because it's at the far end of the garage, and hemmed in with a huge number of Cardboard Packing cases which we can't get rid of yet, as due to Covid we have been isolating ourselves, and ordering online.
As neither of us drive, (my sight is failing and my son is too nervous after being run down), we have to arrange with a friend to take some when they go to the local rubbish recycling tip.
I also need to get rid of some defunct utensils and other items.
That book looks interesting, it is similar to the things I do already.
