May I ask how many milligrams you are prescribed, per day? Clonazepam can seem like a slow starter in the beginning, depending on the dose, of course.

0.25 mg for night and 0. 125 like sos when it is needed

in reply toveerabala

I see. 👍

0.25 and 0.125 are considered to be a "small dose." However, Clonazepam is a very powerful benzodiazepine, so many times this smaller dose can be more than sufficient.

Give it some more time, veerabala. The night time dose should be more than enough to help with your sleep. Taking the 0.125 dose as needed is a very good idea. Using it as needed should be thought of as a "break the glass" situation. This means to take it truly as needed, when there is no other way to get relief.

I am speaking from my own personal experience. It should always be discussed with your doctor, first, of course. 😉

yes clonazepam is quite powerful. be careful with it if possible. You doctor should be monitoring you consistently I would say.

Yeah sure I will be careful thank you for concern

I find it didn’t help but then again I only used it to try to eliminate my seizures, which it didn’t. I don’t remember it helping my anxiety either but that could be because when I have a seizure my anxiety goes through the roof.

oh, that must be difficult. How do you deal with that? I know people that have seizures and they take epival I think and apparently it works..

Ohh I’ve never heard of that.. I’ll definitely look into it.

I think another name is valproate or divalproex or something but that’s just a memory guess, you definitely need to go to your doctor and ask about the right medications. It makes sense that some work for some people and others work for other people…but epival as far as I have seen works ..

Hello veerabala. Clonazepam used to work for me, so I hope it does for you too. However, it can happen that your body gets used to it and it does not work anymore unless you get higher doses and that can only go so far. Follow that closely with your doctor. Best of luck.

I used to drink tea often currently I reduced it to halfI think May be that disturb the medicine is that possible?

Tea and coffee have stimulant properties. Personaly I switched to decaf. It is possible to get the stimulant component of tea by first pouring some boiling water over it, rinse it, and then make a cup that should not have stimulants. But reducing by half is already a good thing.

clonazepam seems to work within 20 minutes or so, but the overall effect on your anxiety may take some time I guess, or depends what pills you would be taking
