Hey everyone. It's been a while since I posted & things were good for a while. My doc and I decided to stop my Lamictal, and while everything has been going smoothly my health anxiety is getting bad again. Mostly due to Covid & my fear of death.
This last week has been especially hard because I work in a doctors office setting & I cannot simply cope.
I just want to know I'm not alone & I'm possibly thinking of getting BACK on a medication. Not as strong as my Lamictal though. Might I add, the reason I weaned off with my docs help is because I was basically just going thru the motions and was angry all the time. Since coming off the meds I do feel better, but I will say my anxiety is starting to affect my daily life again.
Soooo not cool lol.

Welcome back and I’m sorry to hear things have gotten worse again. Working on a dr office during Covid must be extremely stressful I can’t even imagine . I don’t really know how to help other than you knowing what’s best for you. I hope you can find the right answers soon. Perhaps going to a therapist might help too? All the best
Oh gosh. How long were you on it? I’ve been taking it too long. I wanted to come off it for years. Finally tried in January. It acts on the same part of your brain as sugar. I was craving my sugar of choice, ice cream, like a meth head. It was horrible. I was decreasing by tiny amounts too. Even after starting again it took weeks to get over that urge. My doctor said there isn’t an alternative that would help me glean off the lamictrogine. Your situation is clearly different. That is just my experience. Luckily the med is RX free in many countries…and cheap. I hate it.
