I moved from New England to NC

A depression decision

3 years ago and left a good job

I’ve been depressed ever since except a 6 month manic period

Now depressed again

I used to love all the things about our town

Lakes rivers a d good hiking within 10 minutes

And nice warm but not hot summer

There are similar things here but have to get on highway and it’s 30 minutes to an hour

Going back does not seem like an option

I need to find something I enjoy here

I admit I have resisted liking it from the start and that has kept me in a hole for years

I've seen so many beautiful pictures of North Carolina. I think that seed was plantedin your mind from the time you moved. Maybe it's more than time to see what your

beautiful state has to offer.

Right now even if you went back to New England, it might not be the same as you

remembered it. As we are away from something in the past, the positive thoughts

become more and more desirable. Live in the moment of where you are and make

new memories with new ventures. xx

Sorry that you are having a hard time. Try joining a club in your area to meet new people. It might be hard to do but to connect to others is really important. Good luck to you..
