I'm 49. I love Bluey. Best cartoon ever. I also regularly watch Frozen, Tangled, Moana, Disney Fairies, Toy Story... Ok so I have a y year old which gives me an excuse, and I swear having kids alters your brain, but anyway, I still enjoy watching them!

As long as you're happy, who cares?

That's cool to be able to enjoy that with your kids.

It's fine to watch cartoons, as long as you enjoy them. They can be very distracting.

Its absolutely normal plus its fun actually

Why would it be bad? After all they are just shows. What is the difference between them and a say a family comedy. You are fine. Enjoy what you want to. So long as no one is getting hurt I don't see an issue.

Cartoons are sooooo good for the soul in moderation. LOL. If you're addicted to extremes well that's another story. Yeah I want cartoons from time to time too. They can take us to happier times in our lives when things weren't so complicated and life was all about being cared for and loved unconditionally. Not everyone can say that but that's what I feel when I want them and they provide a distraction from my anxiety, depressions, fears, all things negative really. Maybe they provide you with some relief from something negative and that is a good alternative to all the other treatments you get. Just my sentiment for viewing them. Hope you get some relief too. No judgements here just good positive thoughts. :-)

I find them a much need stroll down the streets of yesteryear where I was safe & kept warm in a blanket & it's heaven to me

ShakeyD profile image

I definitely get relief. It's so therapeutic.

yes it's fine as long as you enjoy it and it's not doing anyone any harm.

There's worse things in life than watching cartoons!

I'm 30 and I basically only watch anime. Watch whatever you enjoy, age shouldn't matter. I also like to watch the classic Disney movies once in awhile to relive my childhood (it's also interesting to watch them as an adult and realize that there are quite a few jokes that only adults would really understand).

Go for it. I love watching Dragons, and other childrens programmes and I'm 73! I don't give a monkey's what people think! My life, My rules!

66% of adults watch cartoons! I love the “Bugs Bunny Cartoon hour”! It gives me a break from all the stress of the day. It relaxes me a lot especially when I’m lying down on my sofa!@😅

Hey ShakeyD...I too am in my 40's and I have an obsession with 70's and 80's sit-coms...I live in the UK and these were a staple of my childhood...really immature poorly acted rubbish BUT I love them...my friends think it is really immature...but so what...they take me back to a time when I was happier...I also watch other stuff that would be considered 'grown up' I suppose...if the cartoons make you forget your troubles for a time then great....!

fieryangel profile image
fieryangel in reply to DodgeDhanda

Jones was soooooo annoying but harmless...The original film spin off (1972....I think) was great...unusual actually because the films are often rubbish...Are You Being Served for instance...the series was funny though !

DodgeDhanda profile image
DodgeDhanda in reply to fieryangel

Are U being served. 70s & 80s we had some great sitcoms . I loved Mind ur language

I am a great grandma. I watch cartoons. If I watch the news, I may have nighmares. I have had them and it related to the news. I won't tell you what it was but it was not good. Yes, cartoons and little children's movies are so good to watch. I purchased the DVD about the Trolls. It has such happy music. I love colors and it has beautiful colors. Yes, they definitely put me in a better mood. So many of them have wonderful inspiration. I read once where college students watch cartoons on their time off as it enhances their mood.
