Alone anxious purpose in life

Hi,

I feel alone. I do not have many good girlfriends. I enjoy outdoor activities, working out, yoga. I have always been happy with a boyfriend. Now it is just me working and that is it. I moved to new city which is great but I just can't seem to get on with things or be happy. Anyone relate?

Hey there. That sounds perfectly normal what you describe. And very relatable. I moved to another country 4 years ago and have 0 friends to hang out with. It's great that you enjoy outdoor activities and it seems you're leading a pretty active and healthy lifestyle. You're already on the right track, it's just that the current world needs to get it's shit together. It's crazy time, just hold on. You're not alone whatsoever.

Hi Anxietygirl123,

You sound a bit like me...it's different going into a new environment and getting settled.

I'm sure that you will find a way to become happy, when you are ready to..

Big Hugs xx

Talk to a counselor, very important!! If you can't afford one, many churches offer it free. Get a good multi vitamin, one that has extra magnesium to calm your nerves and extra Bs to heal your nerves and give you energy, focus and attention. I use Nature's Sunshine, they are really good and trustworthy. Also, take walks in the sun without sunscreen, that will give you vitamin D to enhance good moods, and walks will help you deal better. Go barefoot outside when you can to get grounded again, that helps emotions and anxiety/depression too. It isn't new age, it is science. Praying for you thru all this, be honest and open, don't hide these things or they grow. Also, possibly volunteering to get your mind off your own problems and help others will help you too, plus a great place to meet like minded people and get new friends. Change is hard, but you are strong! You will do well, just keep on keeping on dear. Blessings.

First off I wouldn’t suggest going in the sun without sunscreen. I would look into joining a yoga class or see if there are any other clubs you might enjoy. Volunteering is also a great way to meet other wonderful people. I have a hard time finding female friends too. I have female friends but not close friends, which is the kind of friend I want. I find a lot of women want quantity over quality when it comes to friendships.
